Both attractive and practical, the Aluminium Grille is designed to provide an optimum balance of security and visibility, ideal for installations where the closure interferes only marginally with vision,
ventilation and light.
Used extensively on counters, bars and kiosks and for individual shop fronts
particularly in enclosed shopping precincts and other applications where architects wish to combine smart appearance with efficient performance.
Constructed from heattreated alloy links and tubular spacers assembled
on zinc plated steel rods.
Nylon end guides fitted at
both ends to facilitate ease

lipped side channels
designed to prevent the
grille curtain from being
forcibly removed.

The Aluminium Grille is constructed from 86mm x 16mm heat treated alloy links and 111mm long tubular alloy spacers assembled on full width 8mm diameter zinc plated steel rods with 22mm nylon
end guides fitted at each end to facilitate ease of movement in operation.
The nylon end guides in lipped side channels designed to prevent the grille curtain from being forcibly removed and help deter unauthorised entry.
The bottom rail consists of 96mm x 3mm decorative alloy extrusion supported by a robust 50mm x 30mm x 3mm extruded alloy 'T' section. The bottom rail assembly is designed to run freely inside the lipped side channels and accommodate a full range of locking devices.
Bottom rail and side channels are supplied silver anodised 15 microns for internal use or 25 microns for exterior application. Gold-Brass is also available.
The Aluminium Grille is available as standard in alloy mill finish unless requested in anodised finish as mentioned above. The Alloy can be powder coated from colours within the RAL and BS range.
Colours should be checked to confirm the availability.
The spring barrel assembly, supplied as a pre-tensioned unit, consists of helical springing contained in 102mm diameter extruded alloy tubing mounted on 16mm diameter steel rod. Nylon end bushes are
used for durability and to reduce maintenance costs.
With the addition of centre, 45 degree and 90 degree comer stanchions the aluminium grille is suitable
for multi-shutter installations.
